Welcome to the official website of Group 2 Headquarters, Florida Wing, Civil Air Patrol. Our Group is made up of 12 squadrons, and geographically covers more than 15 counties.
Our Commander is Lt Col Joseph Wisniewski.
Group 2 hosts six aircraft, including five powered aircraft and one glider. Our cadets are also second-to-none, and were the 2008 and 2010 National Color Guard Champions, as well as the 2009 Southeast Region Color Guard champions. Several of our cadets were members of the 2009 Southeast Region Drill Team Championship team.
Our members are a well-trained team, and stand "At the Ready" to perform Missions for America.

 C/Harb Accepts Command

On 6 May, during a ceremony conducted at the Craig
Airport squadron headquarters, C/2d Lt Joseph Harb officially
relieved C/Lt Col Joshua Hinson as the Jacksonville Composite
Squadron Cadet Commander. Squadron Commander, Maj Christopher Duemmel presided
over the ceremony. Following the ceremony, C/2d Lt Harb introduced his staff to
the squadron.
C/2Lt Harb has been a member of CAP since September 2006 and earned his
Mitchell Award in March 2009. He has held positions of Cadet First Sergeant,
Flight Sergeant and Flight Commander. He has attended five encampments since
January 2007.

On 23 March, C/Lt Col Isaiah Tamblingson, representing the (injured) outgoing Cadet Commander, C/Maj Alejandro Piferrer, relinquished command as the Squadron's Cadet Commander and passed the Squadron Guidon to Captain Ronald Kielty, the Squadron Commander. C/CMSgt James Smith accepted the Squadron Guidon from Captain Kielty and command as the Squadron's Cadet Commander.
Also that evening, Captain Kielty presented Wright Brothers Awards to C/SSgt Kyler Blair and C/SSgt Lynlea Ressler. More pictures can be seen at http://www.mccs-cap.org/Cadet-Change-of-Command.html
