St. Augustine Squadron Promotes First Cadet

by Capt Justin Adkinson

On November 18, 2009 the St Augustine Composite Squadron had the distinction of awarding its first promotion to a
cadet.

Cadet Jacob D. Prell of Anastasia Island in St Augustine completed all requirements for the Maj Gen John F. Curry achievement and was promoted to the grade of Cadet Airman in a ceremony at St. Augustine High School.

This is the first promotion since the squadron changed from a Senior Squadron to a Composite Squadron in June 2009 marking a milestone for the many officers and cadets who have been working very hard to bring the Cadet Program to St Augustine.

St Augustine Composite Squadron currently has twenty-two active cadets and twenty officers.
